MEET  OUR  PASTORS

Joseph & Fran Green

Lead Pastor

Pastor Joe and Fran Green came to City Church in 2016 after spending 8 years as Lead Pastors in New Jersey where Pastor Joe also served on the New Jersey District Missions Task Force. Prior to that, they spend 10 years in missionary service in Paraguay, South America.

In over 25 years of full-time ministry, they have worked hands-on in church planting, evangelistic outreach, pastoring and launching various national and international initiatives in youth ministry. Pastor Joe & Fran, with their passion for lost people, continue to lead the church into greater missions involvement and outreach.

In addition to all their ministry activity, they found time to raise 5 children. Their 3 grown daughters are married and each serve in the local church with their husbands. They also have 2 teenage boys at home keeping them young.

We are so thankful God brought the Green’s to City Church as our Lead Pastors!

Mark & Julie Anderson

Executive Pastor

Pastor Mark joined us as our Executive Pastor in November, 2020. Mark graduated from Great Lakes Christian College in 1997 with a Bachelors of Religious Education, majoring in Leadership and Ethics. Mark serves part time at City Church and owns a successful insurance agency where he and his wife, Julie, love working together.

Since 2008, Mark and Julie have served as volunteers in various ministries here at City Church. Their passion is helping others get connected and to serve in the areas where they are gifted. They believe that God has a plan and a purpose for all.

Mark and Julie's lives were dramatically impacted on their first foreign mission trip in 2018 where their hearts for missions grew even greater. They are "all in" to sharing the Good News of Jesus. They love serving and giving back from a blessed life. Mark and Julie have 6 adult children and 10 grandchildren!

Zach & Daphne Thorp

Campus Pastor

Pastor Zach joined City Church as our Norwich Campus Pastor in March of 2020.  Prior to joining us full time, he was bi-vocational working at the local lumber yard while serving in multiple capacities at church.  He graduated in 2016 from the University of Valley Forge with a Bachelors in Pastoral Ministry.  He then went on to get his Masters in Organizational Leadership from Crown College in 2019.

Zach and his lovely wife, Daphne, were married in 2017 and they have two sons, Gideon & Oliver, who keep them moving.  They are passionate about seeing people become transformed through the love of Jesus.  Besides serving the church, Pastor Zach loves to go on new adventures with his family, including hikes in the woods, work on puzzles, and drink coffee.

Dan & Sarah Martin

Assistant Pastor

Pastor Dan recently entered into full time ministry here at City Church after spending nearly a decade as a public school teacher. During this career transition, the Lord has stirred his heart, and the heart of his wife Sarah, toward World Missions and to the City of Binghamton.

The Martins are overjoyed as they continue to faithfully step into God's plan for their lives. Their everyday life is busy, energetic, and exciting as they raise three boisterous boys: Anderson, August, and Emery.

Dan and Sarah lead the City Church Youth (CCY). They desire to help teenagers to see God's glory, His goodness, and His gift of salvation. Their mission is to guide students toward a life surrendered to following the person of Jesus.

Christianna Chamberlain

Children's Ministry Director

For the past 11 years, Christianna has been volunteering and serving in various forms of ministry. She officially became our Children's Ministry Director at City Church in August of 2021. Her journey to this position is seemingly a strange one: after graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing in 2015, the Lord called her to the Mission Field in Mexico, where she spent a year church planting!

Christianna brings with her an incredible and experienced background of working with young children. Her heart's desire is for kids' lives to be transformed through the person of Jesus, and that each child would grow into the purpose that God has for them.

Bob Gaska

Visitation Pastor

Pastor Bob Gaska has a godly compassion for the sick and their families.  He was born and raised right here in Binghamton, NY and is a graduate of Davis College.  He has been on our staff at City Church for over nine years.  As our Visitation Pastor, he visits all of the local Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Cancer care clinics, and shut-ins.  It says in James 5:14” Is anyone among you sick? Let him call upon the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord”.
